APK installation and updates
  1. Download the APK on your Android phone and open the downloaded file.
  2. If Android asks, allow this browser or file manager to install unknown apps, then install TEW. Turn that permission off afterwards.
  3. Open TEW while online. The APK contains the original 1.2.1 (16) base; stable updates, including Patch 4, arrive separately through Shorebird. Allow the update to download, then close and reopen TEW. Check the version and patch in About before relying on the latest changes.

For future base-version updates, return here or use Google Play. Android may reject an update if an installed copy has a different signing certificate. Keep that copy and contact support; uninstalling can erase offline data and pending changes.
